The BRIT awards are well-known as a celebration of today’s most influential, groundbreaking and up and coming names in the UK music scene. Although this particular award show appears to be similar to that of The Grammys, The ARIAs, The MTV Music Awards or The AMAs, its dedication to supporting War Child UK, a charity that aims to protect and aid children living in war-torn environments worldwide, allows it to stand out.
BRITs Week for War Child have hosted gigs for artists of many genres in varying small, independent venues in London for the past two decades— tickets and merch sales go directly to charity funds. Since its inception, BRITs Week has received nearly £7.5 million in donations for War Child. For 2025’s BRITs Week, every show has been completely sold-out. With rising stars like Cat Burns, Joy Crookes and Rachel Chinouriri opening the week to classic favourites like Kasabian and Clean Bandit, 2025’s BRITs Week has had a star-studded roster and has provided War Child significant gains that will surely top years prior.
2025’s BRITs Week, however, is coming to a close tonight with a performance by the beloved English singer-songwriter James Bay at The 100 Club in Soho and Rag ‘N’ Bone Man will put on a show at De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill, making this one of BRITs Week’s few gigs to venture out of London.
